In a shocking incident, a mother reportedly sold her newborn baby girl for Rs 5000 in Khammam district.
According to the sources, a woman delivered a baby girl in Khammam Government Hospital and with the help of the hospital staff, she sold her daughter to a couple from Bhadrachalam for Rs 5,000.
Police who got wind off the whole incident enquired the hospital authorities and investigating further. Even though the government is taking serious actions against such incidents, they are still prevalent in the state.
