Khammam: Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy said the State government is leaving no stone unturned to help the unemployed youth by creating job opportunities. Inaugurating Job Mela at a private engineering college here on Saturday, he said the government has ensured congenial atmosphere for the establishment of industries in the State, thus providing an opportunity to the unemployed youth.

“In last three years, the government was able to tackle the power problem, besides working on creating infrastructure for the entrepreneurs. As a result, nearly 50,000 unemployed youth got jobs,” Reddy said, asserting that government will pave way for another 50,000 jobs in next two years

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao said the government has all focus on providing quality education which is a key parameter in the human resource development.

Later speaking to media persons, Home Minister said the State government industrial policy has become a boon for new industries. After the government introduced Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self- Certification System (TS-iPASS), around 1,500 new industries have come to the State and another 1,400 are in the pipeline, he said.

The government has plans to recruit 23,000 posts in police department apart from 8,000 backlog posts, he said.
“Telangana police are the best in the country,” he said, referring to the appreciation they got from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

Earlier, the Ministers took part in THE Haritha Haram programme near Maddulapalli, Tummala Nageswara Rao’s adopted village. The Home Minister also inaugurated the building of Kasturba Balika Vidyalaya at Velugumatla village.

Khammam MP P Srinivas Reddy, MLC Balasani Laxminarayana, MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar, District Collector DS Lokesh Kumar, Superintendent of police Tafseer Iqbal, ZP chairperson G Kavitha, Khammam Mayor G Papalal, market committee chairman RJC Krishna, SC Corporation chairman Pidamarthi Ravi and Seed Corporation chairman Kondabala Koteswara Rao were among others present.
