Nayani, Padma Rao, KTR appear before Railway Court
Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Excise Minister T. Padma Rao and IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao appeared before the Railway Court in Secunderabad on Wednesday.
Hyderabad: Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Excise Minister T. Padma Rao and IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao appeared before the Railway Court in Secunderabad on Wednesday.
The ministers appeared before the court in connection with a case registered against them by the Railway Police in 2011 as part of Telangana statehood agitation. They are among the 14 accused persons against whom cases were booked for participating in Rail Roko agitation.
Speaking to media persons later, Nayani informed that the next hearing in the case has been postponed to August 21 due to the absence of Public Prosecutor and witnesses. He said that the case might be closed if the Public Prosecutor and witnesses does not appear even on August 21.
Meanwhile, KTR said that they had appeared before the Railway Court three times this month.
