Parents for drive against Blue Whale game
The managements of private schools and leaders of parents’ association suggested that a campaign for creating awareness among the children on the dangers of the Blue Whale game should be taken up.
Hyderabad: The managements of private schools and leaders of parents’ association suggested that a campaign for creating awareness among the children on the dangers of the Blue Whale game should be taken up.
They were taking part in a meeting organised by the School Education Department on Friday on the Blue Whale Game which triggered suicides among the children.
The Commissioner of School Education G Kishan received the suggestions.
Telangana Parents Association President N Narayana said that campaign against Blue Whale should be taken in the schools for creating awareness among the students as well as the parents. He said that parents should keep a tab on the Apps being downloaded by children on the smart phones.
Narayana said that action should be taken against schools which indulge in giving corporal punishments to children. The guidelines of the CBSE on the security of the children should be implemented in schools of the State, he added.
Most of the speakers said that parent-teacher associations should be setup along with student protection committees in schools. Representatives elected by the parents should be made members of the committee, they added.
