The concept of extracurricular activities after school hours is rapidly increasing in the city. Many schools are now concentrating on the studies and are trying to divert the attention of kids who are not interested in playing games and who are getting glued to electronic gadgets.

Hyderabad: The concept of extracurricular activities after school hours is rapidly increasing in the city. Many schools are now concentrating on the studies and are trying to divert the attention of kids who are not interested in playing games and who are getting glued to electronic gadgets.

Parents are now preferring to send their kids to such activity class in which students can get engaged in unique ways. There are some activities like music, art and dance in schools. Still, parents want their kids to take up some more other forms of extracurricular activities including some certificate courses.

C Rajeshree, Global Art Principal from Begumpet said, “Parents are encouraging kids and opting what their kids are interested in various activities like art, music, vocal, adventure, activities and creative skill of the child. We teach them in different manner a unique way of learning.”

S Sahitya of the Rainbow School from Panjagutta said, “We want the kids to engage in the circular activities instead of sitting with electronic gadgets. Most of my kids are in the age group of 3 to 6 years and parents are very supportive. They want their kids to learn activities like music, dance and both.”

A Anjali, a parent from Banjara Hills said, “It is a good sign many extracurricular activities are there in the city; fees is also flexible. My child is 4 years, never interact much. At least with this platform, kids can come out of their space.

My main intention is to join kids in such activity centres so that they can speak with others without any hesitation.”
K Sudha a parent from Begumpet said, “My child spends most of the time playing with the mobile or watching television he likes music so I have decided to make him busy on the weekends. I joined him in nearby activity centre to improve his hidden skills.”
