Korean delegation visits Telangana to study use of IT at Govt level
A delegation of Korean IT and Business experts appreciated the IT initiatives of Telangana Government in the public sector and various civic departments in order to provide better services to the people.
Hyderabad : A delegation of Korean IT and Business experts appreciated the IT initiatives of Telangana Government in the public sector and various civic departments in order to provide better services to the people.
The Korean team is on a visit to the State to study role of IT in dispensing the public utility services by the government and its impact. Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has mediated the entire visit and interactions with the government officials.
As part of the visit, the delegation members interacted with different institution heads and enquired about the initiatives. The visiting members were taken to the T-Hub, T Fibre, JNTUH, TSPSC, CIE, Mee Seva, besides meeting IT Commissioner G T Venkateshwarlu, IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan and other important officials.
The delegation members belonged to a research institute of South Korea and they would submit a report of their visit to the Korean government for possible interactions with the Telangana government in terms of IT services and sharing of technology.
TITA global president Sundeep Kumar Makthala said that Korea was ahead in the technology front and the delegation was very much interested in working with the local government in the coming days.
He said, “Further to the visit of the Korean delegation we are looking forward to have tie-ups with Korean government at the level of entrepreneurs, government sectors as well as in the academia.”
Efforts will also be done to facilitate the sharing of knowledge in the Cyber Security area between Telangana and Korea in the future, he added. He thanked the IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan and other officials for responding positively to the initiative of TITA.
The visiting team appreciated the initiative of Digithon in order to create mass awareness on digital technology. They also expressed their willingness to take up any initiative in Telangana as part of their corporate social responsibility in future.
The Korean team comprising of Kyong Rok Han, Department of Economy & Industry, Park Kwang Yeong, Information Systems Division, Woong-Hee-Park Gwangju Jeonnam Research Institute and Calvin Yi, CEO, Wevio Global Inc also visited the historic Charminar, Chowmahalla and other places in city.
The Wevio from Korea is facilitating the Korean experts to visit India and Telangana in order to study the global IT business patterns and opportunities.
TITA spokes person Vekata Vanam, Joint Secretaries Praveen Madipoju, Ryda Ravinder were part of the facilitation team.
