Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary turned a tour guide on Friday for villagers from Bhupalpally and made their Hyderabad tour a remarkable one to remember. The Speaker took a bus from Bhupalpally to Hyderabad to accompany the villagers who were on their way to attend the World Telugu Conference, which commenced on Friday in the city.

Hyderabad: Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary turned a tour guide on Friday for villagers from Bhupalpally and made their Hyderabad tour a remarkable one to remember. The Speaker took a bus from Bhupalpally to Hyderabad to accompany the villagers who were on their way to attend the World Telugu Conference, which commenced on Friday in the city.

Since most of the villagers never visited Hyderabad, the Speaker played the perfect host and took them to all the tourist places in the city. The tour started from the Assembly, where the Speaker invited them to his chambers and showed how the Assembly functions. He told the group, “leaders will not call you and show you all this because they are afraid of you taking over their seat.

” After a photo session with the villagers at the Assembly, the Speaker invited them for lunch. Even though the Speaker had a busy schedule for the day, he still accompanied the people from his constituency during their tour of the city. The group visited the Golkonda Fort and the Speaker showed them some historic places like Ramdas Bandi Khana, temple and briefed them on the history associated with the fort after which the group was taken to Salarjung Museum. 

After spending a delightful afternoon, the group’s next destination was Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium for the World Telugu Conference. The villagers then went to the Birla Temple and later had dinner with the Speaker at his residence.

Talking to media, Madhusudhana Chary said the villagers came from remote villages of his constituency and had no idea about the city. He said there were people from Chenchu, Pittala, Rajanna, Netakani, Nayakapu, Veeramushti, Boya, Chindu castes.

The Speaker stated that their life style was different from the civilised society and added that he tried many things to bring change in their lives. He said that he took the help of a voluntary organisation for resolving their health issues. The villagers were happy to be part of the tour and thanked the Speaker for his good gesture.
