GHMC develops first-ever theme park
The theme park of Palm trees at Old Malakpet, maintained by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is in full bloom. The park has about 250 palm trees besides 120 other trees. This is the first theme park developed by GHMC in the city.

Municipal officials have informed that this park was established in the year 2002 and plants in this park were brought from Malaysia, Madagascar and other countries. These palm trees belong to Arecaceae botanical family. This is the only park where many trees of the same type are grown.
It is the point of interest for the locals and horticulture lovers. These plants are preferred for public spaces like parks and gardens more than other plants. The Municipal body has developed this park in such a way that more number of people can visit and spend time here.
