Bride dies of heart attack after wedding in Achampet

Achampet: In a tragic incident, a bride suffered heart attack and died when she was about to look at ‘Arundhati Nakshatram’ along with the groom. The incident happened at Mahendra Nagar Colony of Achampet mandal in Nagarkurnool district on Saturday during the wedding of Venkatesh of Parigi, Ranga Reddy district and Lakshmi of Mahendra Nagar Colony of Achampet mandal.
After Venkatesh tied the nuptial knots, the priest asked the couple to stand to look at Arundhati Nakshtram. The bride expressed her inability to stand and suddenly collapsed. Family members and relatives tried to wake her up by sprinkling water but in vain. They immediately shifted her to hospital, where the doctors declared her brought dead. The doctors said that Lakshmi died of heart attack.
The entire colony was grief-stricken with the sudden demise of the newly-wed bride. Based on the complaint by the bride’s brother, police registered a case and shifted the body to government hospital for postmortem.
