Khammam: Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) district unit President S Papa Rao here on Tuesday the errors that crept into the updated land records had forced the farmers into difficult situation.

As part of the call given by the State committee, the TJS leaders and activists released a poster on Rythu Deeksha, to be conducted on July 23 in front of the District Collectorate here. Speaking on the occasion, Paparao said the government had hurried the officials of the Revenue Department into completing the land updating process within three months.

Errors crept into the records as the officials had to hurried themselves to complete the process within time frame. The officials could have committed mistakes because of lack of knowledge of computers, he said.

The farmers faced lot of problems at the time of distribution of Rythu Bandhu cheques and pattadar passbooks due to errors in land records, he added. He urged the farmers and representatives of various peoples’ organisation to participate in the deeksha in large numbers and make it a grand success.

TJS District General Secretary Bhadru Naik, Kishore, Ramu, Veeranna, Nagaraju, Ravi, Shankar, Ramesh and Srinu were present at the programme.
