15 injured in road accident in Vikarabad
As many as 15 people were injured when a lorry rammed into RTC bus at Enkepally gate near Manneguda village located in Pudur mandal, Vikarabad district in the early hours of Tuesday The injured passengers were shifted to Vikarabad government hospital
Vikarabad: As many as 15 people were injured when a lorry rammed into RTC bus at Enkepally gate near Manneguda village located in Pudur mandal, Vikarabad district in the early hours of Tuesday. The injured passengers were shifted to Vikarabad government hospital.
Accident occurred when the RTC bus of Tandur depot heading towards Hyderabad was hit by a lorry speedy coming in the opposite direction. Conductor of the bus severely injured but the drivers of both vehicles escaped unhurt. There were 35 passengers in the bus according to the bus conductor.
Neither the bus driver nor lorry driver tried to inform local police station or call emergency number immediately. The conductor of the bus however sent the passengers in another RTC bus to Vikarabad hospital. Some of the passengers themselves joined in the nearby private hospitals. Police are investigating the incident.
