Khammam: The TRS did nothing for Muslims during its four-and-half-year government, alleged Awaaz, a minority organisation, General Secretary Mohammad Gouse here on Friday.
A meeting was held with the representatives of the organisation under the leadership of SK Shafi here in Khammam. Speaking on the occasion, Md. Gouse alleged that the TRS party and its leaders deceived the Muslim with hollow promises and mesmerising speeches.
Before going to elections in 2014, the TRS party promised the Muslims that it would implement 12 per cent of reservations along with enacting the Muslim Sub-Plan Act. But after completion of four years in power the party is unable to fulfill its poll promises, the TRS party dissolved the Assembly before nine months of time, he said.
The TRS party did not keep its efforts for fulfilling the promises that it had made to the Muslims. Even it failed to spend the funds that were earmarked for the welfare of the Muslim, he added.
The TRS government did not sanction loans to Muslims, nor allotted double bedroom houses nor released the scholarships to Muslim students. Moreover, the TRS party did not allot at least 2 per cent of MLA seats for Muslims in the list released by it recently, he pointed out.
“All the Muslim people are ready to teach fitting lesson to TRS party in upcoming elections which deceived the Muslims, he warned. The members of Awaaz Syed Rafi, Md. Abdul Ahmed, SK Kareem, SK Chinna Hussain, Syed Azmeeri Begum, Syed Reshma Begum and SK Pedda Hussain and others were present on the occasion.
