Khammam: Demanding allocation of more funds for the TSRTC and filling the vacant post the department, RTC Staff & Workers Federation leaders staged dharna in front of Khammam Bust Depot on Friday.
The agitating RTC staff said as part of social responsibility, the government must develop and protect the corporation. Addressing the protesters, Federation’s president G Madhava Rao alleged that instead of developing the TSRTC by allocating funds in the budget, the ruling party leaders are neglecting the major public transport system that is functioning across the State.
Many RTC employees retired and some even died discharging their duties, but the TRS government did not fill those and other vacant posts till date in the past four years. Moreover, it is harassing the RTC employees by giving extra load of work to the existing employees, he alleged.

The representatives of the ‘RTC Staff and Workers Federation’, P Sudhakar, G Rama Rao, K Nageswara Rao, P Venkat Rao, Yamuna, Sulthana, Bhagya Lakshmi, Ayodhya and A Srinivas Rao and others participated in dharna.
