Hanamkonda: The TRS Warangal District Youth Wing President Endla Nageshwar Rao has come down heavily on Opposition parties for disseminating misinformation with regard to the distribution of sheep and goats.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he criticised the Opposition parties for resorting to false propaganda over the distribution of sheep to Golla-Kuruma beneficiaries located in Warangal Urban area under TS Sheep and Goat Development Cooperative Federation Limited.

“Even though the State government had issued a GO: Rt No. 74 on August 3 extending the benefit of sheep scheme to those Golla-Kurumas living in urban areas, the leaders of Opposition parties have been trying to mislead the people that there was no GO issued in regard with the distribution of sheep,” Rao alleged. In fact, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari had distributed six units each to the beneficiaries of East Fort Warangal, Dargah, Timmapur, Sthambhampally and Unikicherla villages, he said.

With the election code is in place, the government sought permission from Election Commission (EC) to distribute more units to the beneficiaries, he said. Rao said that authorities are waiting for the EC’s nod. Farmers Coordination Committee Warangal Urban district president Y Lalitha Yadav also spoke.
