Maheshwaram: MPP of Maheshwaram mandal Karrolla Chandraiah, along with several TDP leaders, tendered resignation to Telugu Desam party. They resigned as TDP was not allocated Maheshwaram constituency as part of grand alliance. They said that they would be meeting in couple of days and decide on their future plan of action.

The seat was allocated to Congress and Sabitha Indra Reddy, former minister, is contesting as the Grand Alliance candidate. Recently, senior TDP leader and former minister Devender Goud held a party workers meet and exhorted them to support the Grand Alliance candidate whoever it might be, but TDP cadre seems to be not in favour of the Grand Alliance pact and decided to resign from the party.

Most of them are getting ready to join other parties. Among those who resigned from Telugu Desam Party include N Srinivas Goud, A Shanker, K Ramulu, D Srinivas Reddy, I Narsimha Goud, R Andhya Naik, Srisailam, P Chandraiah, K Srinivas, K Maisaiah, Yadaiah and others.
