Hyderabad: Former Union Minister and AICC official spokesperson S Jaipal Reddy on Thursday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not open his mouth on the Rafale deal as he could not tell the truth. Speaking at Meet the Press, being arranged by Telangana Working Journalists Federation, he said that the former president of France has made it clear that the Ambani company was foisted on them by the Government of India.

He alleged that the Prime Minister had been abusing the constitution and has enervated the constitutional bodies. The track record of Modi as Prime Minister contains only negative marks. He said that the Prime Minister has made several impossible promises during his run up to the Parliament and promised to put Rs 15 lakh in the account of each Indian. But even Rs 15,000 was not given.

Jaipal Reddy said that Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) made a secret deal with the BJP and the Chief Minister has gone for early elections to cheat the public organisations, intellectuals and minorities. He made it clear that a vote to Chandrashekar Rao would be a vote to Modi.

He said that the TRS fielded weak candidates against the strong BJP candidates and the same would be repeated in the Lok Sabha election. He said that early election did not benefit the ruling parties. The former Union Minister said that it was the Congress which granted statehood to Telangana and predicted that the Peoples Front would win as many as 75 seats. He said that whoever becomes Chief Minister, he would not be a monarch.

Jaipal Reddy said that there would be no compromise with the Telugu Desam party on the issues of river waters. The River Water Agreements would be made between the governments and not between the parties. He made light of the comments of caretaker Industries Minister KT Rama Rao and said that he would not respond to the comments. He alleged that the TRS government raised the estimates of the Kaleswaram project with ill intentions.
