: The People’s Front (Praja Kutami) candidate from Charminar, Mohammed Ghouse, said that swapping MIM candidates of Yakutpura and Charminar made things a little easy. He said that he is facing the candidate who failed the people of Yakutpura. Ghouse conducted padayatra in Charminar constituency and visited various locations on Wednesday. He assured the people that he would make an attempt to restore the grandeur of Charminar. During his padayatra, the residents of Charminar constituency interacted with him and discussed problems they had been facing in their localities. Ghouse said that the ‘fake coin,’ which let down the people of Yakutpura was being forced upon the people of Charminar by the MIM leadership.

Ghouse further said that the time has come for the people to focus on development and not to get carried away by emotional slogans of political parties that wish to get votes on communal lines. TRS did not challenge the judgment of Mecca Masjid bomb blast in the High Court, and it smacks of against the claims of KCR of being pro-minority, he added. Ironically, despite the stance of TRS, the MIM, which tries to get maximum Muslims votes with emotional speeches and claims to be in favour of Muslims, were actually supporting TRS. While questioning the stance over various issues engulfing the Muslims, the Praja Kutami candidate said that the MIM was selling the self-esteem of the community to ensure the win of TRS in other constituencies. “The TRS government is yet to come up with reasonable explanation on Alair encounter, where five under trials were killed,” he noted.

Ghouse emphasized that a separate sub-plan is the need of the hour for minorities. Each time government announces a huge budget, but just over a quarter is spent from the allocations, he said, and added that the TRS, which promised 12 per cent reservation, could not achieve it, as the union government was against it. But, it toed the line in Parliament, when all the opposition parties moved ‘no-confidence motion,’ he further added.
