Warangal: The People’s Front candidate of the Congress contesting from Warangal East constituency Vaddiraj Ravichandra said that he has nothing to do with the hawala cash seized by the Jangaon police on Tuesday. It may be noted here that police arrested three persons and seized Rs 5.80 crore from a car this morning.
He said that the TRS leadership, which fears defeat, is trying to malign the image of People’s Front candidates. It was alleged that cash routed through hawala transaction is being ferried to three Praja Kutami candidates – Vaddiraj Ravichandra (Warangal East), Konda Murali, husband of Surekha (Parkal) and Nama Nageswara Rao (Khammam).
“The cash, which the police seized, is not mine,” Ravichandra said, stating that the TRS government is trying to terrorise the Opposition party candidates with the help of police. This apart, the TRS candidates are distributing money to voters with the help of police, he alleged.
