Hyderabad: The Big Boss would be watching the process of polling today. Leaving nothing to chance to ensure the smooth conduct of elections, the Election Commission has taken recourse to technology. It has deployed closed circuit cameras and web casting. The use of CCTVs and web casting would enable real-time monitoring by officials and the control rooms at GHMC and State Election Commission office. As many as 1,821 candidates will fight the battle from 119 constituencies.

About 2.8 lakh voters would decide the fate of these candidates. The Election Commission has arranged 55,329 EVMs, 39, 763 control units and 42,751 VVPATs. A total of 1,50,023 polling officers have been deployed. Police staff including 30,000 state police and 18,860 from other states will help smooth flow of the election process.
