Neredmet: Siva Prakash, son of a retired forest department official, living at Defence Colony has been known to treat injured animals with all love and care since his boyhood days. Not only that, he even offers to take care of any animal found ailing in the twin cities, be it dogs, horses, rabbits, pigeons or parrots.

An auto mechanic who runs his own shed, Prakash spends his own money for providing treatment. He believes the service is worth pursuing even if he has to shed his hard-earned money. If a need arises, Siva Prakash treats these animals at his house till their ailments are cured. In his boyhood, he used to emulate the example of his father's department colleagues in providing medical care to various animals. Now he does not stop in offering cure, but also allows the treated dogs to be adopted. These dogs include street strays which have been injured in various types of accidents.

Siva Prakash told The Hans India that he has been continuing to be a Good Samaritan as his services have come in for praise by people. His laudable work has come to light after local animal lovers observed his activities and informed the media. While speaking to THI, they wished that people need to emulate such persons in extending their service to animals.
