GHMC demolitions continue on 2nd day

Hyderabad: As part of a special drive to demolish illegal constructions, GHMC town planning department demolished 23 illegal constructions on Wednesday. Director of GHMC town planning department Srinivas Rao said that six illegal constructions in LB Nagar zone, five in Serilingampally zone, five in Secunderabad zone, three in Kukatpally zone, three in Khairatabad zone and one in Charminar zone were demolished. With 21 illegal constructions demolished on Tuesday, a total of 44 structures have been demolished in the last two days. He urged people to undertake constructions only after getting permissions and warned that illegal constructions would be demolished without issuing any notices.
