Basheerbagh: Newly-formed Telangana Sarpanch Forum president Vijay Bhaskar Reddy said the forum would strive for strengthening rural self-government. He was speaking at a press conference organized by Telangana State Sarpanch Forum here at Press Club on Wednesday.
Addressing the media, Vijay Bhaskar Reddy said that the newly formulated Panchayat Raj law of 2018 would help in strengthening panchayat local bodies. Expressing his gratitude to CM KCR for conducting training classes to newly-elected sarpanches, he said that the training sessions would help saarpanches in providing better governance and work for the development of their villages. He thanked the CM for granting honorarium for sarpanches and said that the government should take decisions keeping in mind their personal financial status. The forum would act as a bridge between the government and sarpanches and would strive for development of panchayats, he said.
Among those who were present on the occasion include the forum vice president Venkateshwar Rao, Mallikarjun, Linga Yadav and others.
