Says Third Front talk premature

akileas yadavUttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said here on Saturday that the talk of 'Third Front' would have more political significance only after the next general elections due in 2014. Akhilesh, who reached the City by a special flight to take part in the Akhila Bharatiya Yadava Mahasabha today called on Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and the Opposition leader and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. The UP Chief Minister was all praise for Kiran Kumar Reddy for reaching out to the weaker sections with a slew of welfare measures.

Speaking to the media after calling on Naidu, Akhilesh said his Samajwadi Party would discuss the proposed formation of 'Third Front,' as an alternative to Congress-led UPA and BJP-led NDA, only after 2014 polls. He said his visit to Naidu was only a courtesy call and no politics were discussed at the meeting. He said discussions on the Third Front at this stage would be premature. After general election, the front will take some shape depending on the political situation. He exuded confidence that his party will win majority of Lok Sabha seats in his State in 2014 election.Akhilesh praised Naidu for his valuable contribution to the promotion of IT sector in Andhra Pradesh in a big way.

Akhilesh, during his two-day visit to the State, will meet the Union Minister for Tourism K Chiranjeevi at the latter's home on Sunday morning.
