Hyderabad: Even as the Mahabubnagar district police declared that Sadak Bandh protest lacked permission, the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) on Tuesday vowed to go ahead with the Hyderabad-Kurnool road blockade as planned on March 21. A JAC even identified seven points on the route where traffic would be held up, and deputed its key members to mobilise public in large numbers for the protest. Talking to reporters after releasing the wall poster of the 11-hour Sadak Bandh from 8 am to 7 pm, Prof. Kodandaram, the TJAC chief, appealed to the public to change their travel plans in view of the protest. Had the Assembly passed a Telangana resolution, they would have postponed this protest, he said. Criticising the police for their crackdown methods, Kodandaram stated that TJAC was not perturbed at all." We are determined to make the road-blockade a huge success", he added.
