strongVizianagaram: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) general secretary Koleti Damodar asserted that no party had the power to face the Congress. The party has 125 years history and several parties that tried to oppose it had to finally compromise with it, he said. The Congress has a strong foundation through keeping the promises made to the people during the time of elections, he added. Those parties that try to hoodwink the people are successful only for some time and the people will definitely bring back the Congress to power, he observed. Addressing the media here on Monday, Mr Damodar said that Rahul Gandhi is sure to become the Prime Minister of the country. He will lead the country like his father Rajiv Gandhi in a new direction, he hoped. Recently at a meeting of party district committee presidents at Gandhi Bhavan it was decided to strengthen the party from the village-level by organising meetings, he said. He informed that he participated in the meetings at Pachipenta and Garividi mandals in the district along with the DCC president. It is clear from the enthusiasm of the workers that the Congress party is very strong, he said. DCC president, MLC Kollagatla Veerabhadraswamy, Markfed member KV Suryanarayana Raju, District Library Committee chairman Rongali Pothanna, Yedla Adiraju and others participated.
