Certificate course in journalism launched at Pingle Govt College
Journalism plays a crucial role in educating the society on a wide range of public issues, noted the assistant director of Warangal Doordarshan Kendra, M Varaprasad.
Hanamkonda: Journalism plays a crucial role in educating the society on a wide range of public issues, noted the assistant director of Warangal Doordarshan Kendra, M Varaprasad.
He said journalism could transform persons into forces for the betterment of the society. He took part in a programme organised to launch certificate course in journalism at Pingle Government Degree College for Women in Hanamkonda on Monday.
Varaprasad lauded the initiative of the college authorities in introducing journalism course at degree level. The course would practically help the students in many ways in their life, he said while urging the students to make use of the opportunity.
The college principal G Indira explained that certificate courses would help the students to gain knowledge of different subjects. She advised the students to make efforts to acquire skills and creativity to excel in journalism.
The course convener B Kavitha explained the course importance, structure, objectives and shared related information with the students. The college vice-principal Premalatha, faculty M Shanker Narayana, P Venu Madhav, N Veena, B Kasturi Bai, V Aparna and others were present.
