SSA staff stages novel protest in Mancherial
Telangana Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) contract and outsourcing employees staged a novel protest by keeping flowers in their ears at the district education office here on Wednesday.
Mancherial: Telangana Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) contract and outsourcing employees staged a novel protest by keeping flowers in their ears at the district education office here on Wednesday.
Following a call given by the Joint Action Committee, the employees staged the protest demonstration on the third day.
JAC leader Rambabu came down heavily on the government saying the State government is exploiting the employees and not paying as per the Supreme Court’s earlier rule of equal pay to equal work.
The members demanded the government assurance for job security and implementation of GO: 14. Their other demands include six months earned leaves to women employees and amendment of GO: 144 and payment of salaries on time.
The members demanded the government provision of ESI and PF facility and 22 government holidays on par with government employees.
Regunta Kanaka Laxmi, Sumana, Sunitha, Ramesh, Nagesh, Sridhar and others participated in the protest.
