Jangaon: The State government must initiate action against Jangaon MLA M Yadagiri Reddy over his alleged encroachment of shikam lands, demanded the TJAC chairman M Kodandaram.

Speaking to presspersons here on Monday, he said the government must take action against the MLA in view of the allegations made by the district collector. Being an MLA, it was not appropriate for Yadagiri Reddy to encroach the government lands.

The Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, who often asserts that he would not tolerate political corruption, should keep his words and take disciplinary action against the MLA. If the CM fails to act, it would send wrong signals to the masses, Kodandaram said.

The MLA has been putting pressure on the government to transfer Jangaon District Collector A Sri Devsena from the district following her charges against him. The TJAC would standby the Collector and fight for her cause, he stated.

Yadagiri Reddy developed a bund at Dharmonikunta against legal provisions, Kodandaram noted. He appealed the unemployed youth in the erstwhile Warangal to make the ‘Telangana Amaraveerula Spoorthy Yatra’ a success.

The yatra enters Jangaon on October 14 and would cover various places in Jangaon, Warangal and Mahabubabad district.

A public meeting would be held at Mahabubabad town on the day, he added. Speaking to presspersons in Hanamkonda later on Monday, the TJAC leader complained that coming under pressure from the State government individuals and establishments who used to provide place to conduct meetings in the past were now denying the same. But the TJAC leadership would not succumb to such pressure tactics, he said.
