The newly formed Jagtial district has topped in all fields in the State,” stated Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar. Jagtial: “The newly formed Jagtial district has topped in all fields in the State,” stated Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar. He laid foundation stones for the construction of a new Collectorate building and District Police Office along with Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha and Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar at Thermal NCP camp here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said in a span of 110 years, i.e., from 1905 to 2014, only three districts were formed in Telangana. But after the formation of separate Telangana State, the existing ten districts were bifurcated into 31 districts for the convenience of the people and got nationwide recognition in just three years.
“The neighboring states are wondering how development is possible in Telangana with only a few thousand crores of funds? This, we made possible by giving equal preference to all constituencies in the State in terms of development without any discrimination,” he explained.
The TRS government, which is fully aware of the poverty and the poor people living in the State, had introduced several welfare schemes to uplift the weaker sections and has been implementing the schemes successfully. Every household will be supplied pure drinking water by the end of December. The people must extend their support by participating actively in the developmental activities and must bless the government, urged the Minister.
Nizamabad MP K Kavitha said that irrespective of political parties and constituencies, several steps were taken for the all-round development of the district, which is now in top position in about seven to eight in the State. The government had decided to bifurcate the then existing districts across the State to overcome the problems being faced with bigger districts. 21 new districts were formed adding to the existing ten districts, she informed.
By transforming the Jagtial district into a Swachh District, the district must be placed at number one position across the country, she suggested.Government Chief Koppula Eshwar advised the officials to strive hard further in the coming days with the same spirit to develop the district in all sectors to be moral to others.
Later, Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar along with Nizamabad MP K Kavitha viewed the photo exhibition organised on the occasion. Cultural activities attracted many audiences.
