Hanamkonda(Warangal Urban): It’s impossible to decimate the Congress party, said the TPCC general secretary Namindla Srinivas. Speaking to media persons at the Congress Bhavan here on Thursday, he found fault with the ruling TRS leaders for their needless criticism against the DCC president NayiniRajender Reddy.

“Some TRS leaders seemingly targeting Congress’ probable candidate in the next election Rajender Reddy with the ruling party Warangal West MLA D Vinay Bhaskar’s graph falling drastically,” Namindla Srinivas said.

Vinay Bhaskar’s followers seem to be worried over their leader getting ticket in the next election, he said and added that the growing popularity of Rajender Reddy has become enviable to them.

“In his recent visit, KTR warned Vinay Bhaskar for not utilising his constituency development funds. This may have caused apprehensions and as a result Vinay Bhaskar’s followers started attacking Congress leaders,” the TPCC secretary said.

Instead of resorting to mudslinging against the Congress party, the elected members need to focus on development in the region, Namindla Srinivas said. Further he dared the TRS leaders to come for an open debate instead of making baseless allegations against the DCC chief.

“It’s not all that easy to decimate the Congress party that has more than 100 years history,” he said, referring to the MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao’s recent comments.

Greater Warangal city president Katla Srinivas, BC Cell Warangal president Kothapally Srinivas, SC Cell Greater Warangal president Vijay Kumar, student leader Gujjula Srinivas Reddy and Greater Warangal joint secretary K Ganesh were among others present.
