Admonished by parent, 11-year-old boy commits suicide
Admonished by his mother, a 11-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison. The incident occurred at Krishnajigudem of Chilpur mandal in Jangaon district on Monday. The deceased called as Sadam Vishwa Tej, elder son of S Srinivas and Srilatha, was studying fifth class at the local government school.
Jangaon: Admonished by his mother, a 11-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison. The incident occurred at Krishnajigudem of Chilpur mandal in Jangaon district on Monday. The deceased called as Sadam Vishwa Tej, elder son of S Srinivas and Srilatha, was studying fifth class at the local government school.
According to the police, the deceased boys’ mother told him and his brother Sai Tej to go for a haircut by giving them some money. They didn’t go for the haircut and spent some of the money for other things. Their mother, angered at that, chided them and tried to beat them.
Following this, Vishwa Tej ran towards their agriculture field and consumed pesticide and started suffering from convulsions. The villagers, who witnessed the boy, assumed that the boy was affected by fits and informed the parents.
The boy was taken to primary health centre for treatment, where the medical staff told the parents that the boy had consumed poison. By the time the boy was rushed to MGM Hospital, he succumbed to the poison.Station Ghanpur police registered a case in connection with the incident and began a probe.
