Mancherial Collector hints at action against hostel staff
District Collector RV Karnan on Wednesday hinted at initiating departmental action against the engineering staff for dereliction of duty in creating basic amenities to the inmates of BC Hostel for Boys at Saikunta in the town.

He visited the hostel as part of inaugurating the Eamcet and JEE coaching center. During his visit, the hostel inmates complained to the Collector about appalling amenities in the hostel. He found the hostel toilets in worse condition and breathed fire on the hostel warden.
Later speaking to the students, he advised them to work hard and achieve dizzy heights. He enquired about the menu being served in the hostel and issued several instructions to the hostel authorities.
District revenue officer Priyanka, tribal welfare officer Gangaram, assistant tribal welfare officer Neelima, intermediate board official Bina Rani and others were present on the occasion.
