The state government has allocated four crore rupees to towards the construction of stadium at O' City. The survey of the land was completed, he informed.

Speaking after inaugurating National Coaching camp cum Black Belt Grading Examination at JNS Indoor Stadium in Hanamkonda on Sunday, he said that the indoor stadium being built in Warangal would be open for the sportsmen within two months of time. The state government has allocated Rs 220 crores for the promotion of sports. The government has been laying an emphasis on developing infrastructure for the sports since the chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has been giving priority to the issue.

The Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy speaking on the occasion appealed the sportsmen to keep up the sporting spirit. He said that Warangal has been emerging as a sporting centre in the state in view of the fact that several national and state level sports events were held here.

The event was being organized by Andhra Pradesh Judo Associationin association with Judo Federation of India and Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh - Olympic Association AP. Athletes from 24 states in the country were taking part in the event.

About 200 judo professionals attending the above examination which was being conducted here after a gap of 30 years, said the Judo Federation of Andhra Pradesh president Banda Prakash. Judo Federation of India representative Manohar Bangar and others were present.
