Warangal: Urban superintendent of police A Venkateshwara Rao has told the police officials to act tough with the persons who commit offences against women. Mr Venkateshwara Rao reviewed the urban policing in the district at the police head quarters here on Friday. Addressing the police officials, he said the details of old criminals should be compiled and the persons involved should be identified.

The movements of the criminals who came out of the jails on bail should be watched. Regular vehicle inspections at important traffic junctions, other similar locations have to be carried, the SP said. Referring to the Ganesh Idol Immersion in tri-cities of Warangal-Hanamkonda-Kazipet to be held on September 18, he wanted to the police officials concerned to make coordinated efforts to make security arrangements at lakes and tanks ear marked for immersion.
