The report suggests that overnight, Jeff Bezos’ wealth toppled from $117 billion to $110 billion.

Stock markets across the world have been feeling the heat of coronavirus. In India, the Sensex fell drastically; it had the worst-ever day. Similar numbers have been stated across the world. A CNBC report says that Jeff Bezos, Amazon CEO and the world's richest man, lost almost $7 billion in a day as Amazon's stock price dropped. The report suggests that overnight, Bezos' wealth toppled from $117 billion to $110 billion. Not only that, in last month alone, Bezos has reportedly lost $18 million.

All reports propose that the reason behind the impact on the share market is coronavirus. In the US, the big four tech companies — Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft — lost almost $321 billion in the market in just one day. The CNBC report states that Tesla CEO Elon Musk also lost around $4 billion overnight. Interestingly, recently Musk tweeted saying that the panic over coronavirus was "dumb".

Irrespective of what Musk says or believes, the coronavirus effects on the tech industry have been immense. Every big company across the world has cancelled an event or two. It has also been reported that the supply chain of products will be affected. Apple has shared that the company revenue is expected to take a hit. Microsoft too, has shared a similar warning.

Officially Amazon hasn't said anything, but it's evident that it too has been feeling the heat of the outbreak. In the US almost every big company has asked its employees to work from home. Google told employees in San Francisco and New York offices to work from home. Apple CEO Tim Cook also sent out a memo to employees suggesting work from home.
