Warangal: Demanding appointment orders to the eligible, the candidates appeared for the junior line man (JLM) posts last year staged a protest near the office of Telangana State Northern Power Distribution Corporation Limited (NPDCL) in Hanamkonda on Friday.

The protestors said that NPDCL had issued notification for the recruitment of 2,553 JLM posts on February 2, 2018. The authority which conducted written test on April 8, 2018 had announced results on May 23 same year. Thereafter, the officials conducted pole climbing tests on January 18, 2019 as part of the process of recruitment for the junior line man (JLM) posts. Since then the authority had not announced the names of those who got through the pole climbing test, the protestors said.

Even though it's been more than one-and-a-half-year since the notification, the NPDCL has no concern towards the candidates who are eagerly waiting for the recruitment, they said. Earlier, the authority had also assured to complete the recruitment in three phases, but to no avail, they said.

The protestors who took out a rally from public gardens to the NPDCL submitted a memorandum to the CMD A Gopal Rao and urged him to release the list of selectees and appointment orders. Around 200 candidates from Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam, Adilabad and Nizamabad participated in the protest.
