In-charge Collector makes a surprise visit to paddy procurement centres in Nakrekal, Kattangur and Tatikallu

Nakrekal (Nalgonda): District In-charge Collector V Chandra Shekar assured to buy paddy from every farmer in the district. On Wednesday, he made a surprise visit to paddy procurement centres in Nakrekal, Kattangur and Tatikallu.

Speaking on the occasion, he said so far 1.45 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was purchased from 25,234 farmers in the district and Rs 118 crore was paid to them.

Later, he conducted a review meeting on the status of Mission Bhagiratha works in the constituency at Tahsildar's office in Nakrekal and directed the officials concerned to speed up the pipeline laying works of 100m at Chandampally of Nakrekal mandal and pending tank works and laying of 50 metre pipeline at SC Colony in Kattangur during his field visit.

Later, he visited Srinath Ginning Mill at Atipamula village of Kattangur mandal and advised the management to not to create any problems to farmers while purchasing cotton from them. Speaking on the occasion, the official said, so far 2 lakh quintals of cotton was purchased from farmers in the district and payments up to November 21 were cleared.
