2 die, five hurt in mishap : Jangaon
A man and his son were killed while five others sustained grievous injuries when the car in which they were travelling collided with another car on the Warangal-Hyderabad highway near Chagal village in Jangaon district on Wednesday.

According to the police, the deceased were identified as Koppula Sridhar (35) and his 12-year-old son, who hails from Kareembad in Warangal. It's learnt that Sridhar, who tried to overtake a lorry, hit another car coming from the opposite direction.
While his son died on the spot, Sridhar breathed his last while undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital. Sridhar's wife Sarika, and the four persons travelling in the other car sustained injuries. Another car also damaged in the mishap, however, the occupants escaped unhurt.
Station Ghanpur sub-inspector Seelam Ravi registered a case.
