4 kiln workers held for gang rape
Maheswaram police on Thursday morning nabbed four persons for committing gang rape of a co-worker.
Hyderabad: Maheswaram police on Thursday morning nabbed four persons for committing gang rape of a co-worker.
The arrested accused were identified as Rahul Maaji (25), Manoj Samrat (23), Durga Samrat (20) and Dhaya Maji (20), all belong to Odisha State. According to police, on August 16 at 7:30 pm the accused persons waylaid the victim lady (30) and took her into the nearby bushes at JMB bricks kilns, and forcibly committed gang rape on her.
On receipt of the complaint from the victim, a case has been registered under sections 376 (D) IPC and police arrested the accused at Akanpally. On enquiry the accused confessed to have committed the offence.
The victim and accused persons altogether work at the same brick kiln, police said.
