5-year-old boy drowns in sump in Hyderabad

A five-year-old boy accidentally slipped into a water sump of a construction site and drowned here on Thursday at Malakpet.

Shaik Abdul Rehman informed his mother that he was going out for playing and left home at 11.30 am. As he did not return home after two hours, Rehman's mother Shamshad Begum went out to see him who was found dead in the water sump.

She called the neighbours to save his son who was pulled out from the sump and shifted to a private hospital. The boy was declared dead by the doctors.
