Kamareddy: The seventh Economic Census, which will be conducted from September 1 to December 31 this year, has a speciality. This time the Economic Census will be carried out in the district without using pen and paper and it will be done with an App, specially designed for the purpose.

Earlier, enumerators will visit each and every house with papers and will write all the information provided by the people. But now they simply carry a tab or a mobile.

District Chief Planning Officer Srinivas is the in-charge of doing Economic Census data. Assistant Statistical Officers gave training to other enumerators. Most of this information can be used by governments to change the country's future lines. This census collects data on how many people are involved in agriculture, especially non-agriculture and the number of government and private employees is also calculated. The government or private employees will collect the details of families based on wages. Factories, companies, shops, hawkers and street vendors are going to record how many people are employed. The Economic Census continues to record basic sector, manufacturing, trading, energy, services and other details on the App from time to time.

The information collected during Economic Census are useful for socio-economic developmental planning at state and district levels. Deputy ASO Laxman, District CSC Coordinator Chandrashekhar, NSSO Vijay and Enumerators team up to make economic sense.
