Kothagudem: The filing of first phase of nominations for the ZPTC, MPTC polls has ended on Wednesday with officials receiving 92 nominations for ZPTCs and 522 for MPTC posts.
The election will be conducted for seven ZPTC posts and 71 MPTC posts in seven mandals.
According to officials, in Dummagudem 9 ZPTC nominations and 41 MPTC nominations were filed, in Charla 10 ZPTC and 92 MPTC, Burgumpahad 11 ZPTC and no MPTC, Mulkalpally 11 ZPTC and 66 MPTC, Aswapuram 11 ZPTC and 70 MPTC, Tekulapally 12 ZPTC and 108 MPTC, Palvoncha 17 ZPTC and 87 MPTC. A total of 81 ZPTC nominations and 464 MPTC nominations were filed on Wednesday.
The first phase of elections will be conducted on May 5 in the district.
