Action plan changed the face of villages: Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar in Khammam

Khammam: The face of the villages changed under the 30-day action plan, stated Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, while participating in the tractors' distribution programme to village panchayats at SR&BGNR College Grounds in Khammam on Wednesday. Before the meeting, he distributed the new tractors to the village Sarpanches.

Speaking on the occasion, Puvvada said the aim of the government was improve to sanitation and cleanliness in villages and also the green cover. Adding that plantation of saplings was taken up actively in the villages as part of the action plan, the Transport Minister urged the people to continue the works with the same spirit. Adding that the tractors must be used for panchayat works and for taking up developmental works in villages only, he asked the concerned authorities to not to use the tractors for personal work. Informing that the government has released Rs 16 crore all panchayats in the district, he said under the action plan, the officials developed dumping yards and cremation grounds in the villages. He also said everyone should work for making the district plastic-free, and also construct soak pits on the premises of their houses for conserving water.

District Collector RV Karnan said that as per the ration of the people, big and small tractors were distributed by the government. Zilla Parishad Chairman Lingala Kamal Raju added that the dreams of Mahatma Gandhi were being fulfilled by the government under the leadership of Chief Minster K Chandrashekar Rao.

MLC B Laxminarayana, Mayor Dr Papalal, Deputy Mayor Bathula Murali, Agriculture Market Chairman Maddineni Venkat Ramana, Corporator CH Narayana Rao, ZPTC Priyanka, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Priyanka, District Panchayat Officer K Srinivas Reddy and Sarpanches and vice-Sarpanches and officials of departments concerned attended the programme.
