The district authorities have made all the arrangements for the final phase of Parishad polls to be held in seven mandals of Khammam district on Tuesday.
Khammam: The district authorities have made all the arrangements for the final phase of Parishad polls to be held in seven mandals of Khammam district on Tuesday. Staff allocation, setting up of polling centers and security arrangements at sensitive polling areas has already been done.
Polling will begin at 7 am and end at 5 pm. In the final phase, polls will be held in seven mandals i.e., in Konijerla, Errupalem, Madhira, Wyra, Bonakal, Chinthakani and Raghunathapalem Mandals of Khammam district.
The election will be held for seven ZPTC and 92 MPTC positions. A total of 259 candidates are in the fray for 92 MPTC positions and 30 candidates are going to fight it out for seven ZPTC positions. All the candidates have campaigned widely in the last few days to gain the voters support. 509 polling stations have been set up for the polls to be held on Friday and a total of 2,46,636 voters will exercise their franchise.
