An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) working with Ramakrishnapur police station in Mancherial has died after he accidentally from the police quarters building on Sunday morning.

A. Odhelu, a native of Karatwada village of Bothe mandal went to the police quarters on Sunday. He was accidentally slipped from the building and suffered injuries on his neck. The police personnel at the quarters shifted him to Mancherial hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. DCP Uday Kumar said that a sharp object slit his throat when he slipped from the building. The police registered a case and launched a probe.

On May 3, 2020 - a reserve police inspector died after his car turned turtle near Kandigaddathanda of Alair mandal in the district following a tyre burst. The accident occurred while he was going Hyderabad from Warangal. He succumbed to serious head injuries while undergoing treatment in a hospital in Jangaon.

V Karnudu was a native of Gudur mandal in Mahabubabad district.
