Khammam: ITDA Project Officer (PO) P Gowtham and Khammam DM&HO Dr B Malathi inspected the arrangements at ITDA training centre in Bhadrachalam on Tuesday, which was converted as quarantine centre.

The PO informed that all required facilities were provided in every room at the centre for the convenience of the patients, measures were taken to maintain proper sanitation and to provide food to the patients. PO Gowtham asked the health department officials to submit a report if there is need for additional requirements.

Speaking to the press here on Tuesday, Dr Malathi informed that a total of 44 corona positive cases have been recorded in Khammam so far. Of them, 25 persons were discharged, one death occurred at Madhira and there are 18 active cases in the district.

She stated that all the corona positive cases in Khammam were because of the infected persons, who came here from other places. All measures to contain the spread of the virus have been taken and household health survey is underway at affected areas.

Covid-19 infected persons' primary and secondary contacts are being traced out and tested. Steps are being taken to issue health bulletins daily in the evening hours, the DM&HO stated.
