BJP all set to grow by leaps & bounds in Telangana State: Laxman
More TDP and Congress leaders from TS to join BJP in the presence of BJP national working president J P Nadda in Hyderabad
New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit president K Laxman said the saffron party is all set to grow by leaps and bounds in Telangana in the coming days as several TRS leaders who want freedom from the TRS style politics are ready to join the BJP soon.
Addressing a joint media conference here at the BJP national headquarters on Thursday along with party national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao, Laxman said the BJP alone has the strength to fight the TRS and to grow as an alternative party in Telangana.
Earlier, Muralidhar Rao said former TDP national vice-president and twice a cabinet member I Peddi Reddy, former MLA and Labour Minister Boda Janardhan and TDP State vice-president and former MP from Hanumakonda from Telangana Chada Suresh Reddy have decided to join the party.
Similarly, former Congress MLA from Medak Shashidhar Reddy and former Congress State Minority Cell Convener Sheik Rahmatullah have also decided to join the BJP, he added.
He said several TDP and Congress leaders from both the Telugu States have come to a conclusion that a national party like BJP alone can be a suitable political alternative, particularly in Telangana.
After joining the party Peddi Reddy said, "we have resolved to work hard to bring BJP to power in Telangana and there will be more people who will be joining the party in the presence of the BJP national working president J P Nadda in Hyderabad.
