Nizamabad: Bodhan MLA Mohammed Shakeel Amer said that the Central government has provided a grant of Rs 22 crore for the development of roads from Bodhan to Nizamabad district. On Wednesday, he participated in several development works in Bodhan.

The MLA said that Rs 22 crore allotted by the BJP government for road works and the works will be taken up soon in Bodhan town and bypass roads. He unveiled the statue of Chakali Ilamma near Salura interstate road in Bodhan mandal, laid foundation stone for women group building in Pathepur village, and inaugurated CC roads in the village.

MLA Shakeel said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's welfare schemes are getting public recognition and promised to construct a function hall with a cost of Rs 50 lakh.

Later at a programme at MPDO office in Bodhan town, the MLA had distributed Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to 92 beneficiaries. Speaking on the occasion, he urged the rice millers to cooperate with paddy farmers in purchasing their produce.

DCCB chairman Gangadhar Patwari, ZP vice-chairman Rajitha Yadav, market committee chairman Wagmare Archana Suryakant, Bodhan MPP Buddha Rajeshwar Savitri, ZPTC Girdavar Gangadhar, Lakshmibai, MPTCs and sarpanches participated in the programmes.
