CPM stages mock suicides to highlight Inter students plight
District secretary of CPM party Nunna Nageswara Rao felt that the Telangana has become the epicenter of students suicides while the government turns deaf to the problems of Inter students and their parents.

Stating that a strict action should be taken against the Globerana Technologies for the Inter results row which led to suicides of 23 students, Nunna called for the rejig in Board of Intermediate (BIE) to ensure that such incidents won't happen again.
In protest against the State government and the BIE, the CPM leaders and activists staged a mock suicide. Speaking on the occasion, Nunna demanded ex gratia of Rs 30 lakh to the families of students who committed suicides besides resignation of Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy for his inefficiency and failure to oversee the evaluation of Intermediate exam papers.
"The government did not react appropriately to the suicides of 23 students. The incidents happened because of gross negligence by the BIE and the State government," he alleged.
He also demanded the government to intervene immediately and dismiss the BIE secretary Ashok. He said, "The government, which screams out loud for every small achievement is suddenly being all silent about the crisis while thousands of students and their families are left to suffer."
Party executive member Srikanth, Lenin, party district committee members Vikram, Srinivas, Satyanarayana, Jabbar, Ramadevi, Nagaraju, Ramesh, leaders Naveen, Bhaseer, Sadhanandham, Gouse, Ramya, Ramana, Amaravathi, Gurumurthi, Venkat, Prakash, Ramesh and Ashok participated in the protest.
