Elderly man found hanging in Kirana store in Suryapet

Suryapet: An elderly man, aged about 60 years have found hanging in his Kirana shop located near the vegetable market in Kodad in Suryapet on Thursday morning. He was identified as Epuganti Sathibabu of Kodad, a resident of Kodad. The man runs a wholesale eggs shop.

The incident came to light when a foul smell emanated from the Kirana store that was shut for the last three days and the locals broke the shop doors. They found the body hanging to the ceiling and informed the police.

The police reached the spot and shifted the body to the community health centre at Kodad for post-mortem. The police launched an investigation to know if committed suicide. More details about the incident are awaited.
